SUB SEA TRANSMITTER

The CCI sub sea transmitter is designed specifically for the rigors of sub sea well head service.  Each of the main elements are crafted to perform under the extreme conditions encountered in deep offshore production.

FLANGE MOUNTING

The connecting flange housing is an API design fabricated from a wide variety of corrosion resistant materials.  It is a very robust design and incorporates a 6BX type ring gasket.

SENSOR HOUSING

The sensor housing is designed for secondary containment.  Should the primary seals fail, a secondary housing within the transmitter is capable of retaining up to 25,000 PSI, thereby preventing any release to the environment.  The cable housing is also rated to 5,000 PSI for depths of 3000 meters.

SENSOR ELEMENTS

The temperature element is a 100 ohm Platinum RTD.  It is a thin film design and specially constructed to handle intense vibration and shock.  The pressure element is a sputtered thin film design which excels at accuracy, temperature correction, and vibration.

TRANSMITTER ELECTRONICS

The pressure sensor and the temperature sensor have separate circuits and circuit boards.  Each sensor has a 4-20 mA output.  The circuit boards provide complete calibration and temperature compensation.  The boards are potted in place to withstand vibration and shock.

CALIBRATION

Each transmitter comes with a detailed calibration sheet which shows exact milliamp reading for a specific pressure or temperature.  The calibration sheet can be used to program controllers for even greater accuracy.

Key Features

Triple Process  Containment
Process must pass through (2) EB weld zones & (1) Viton O-ring before reaching the electronics compartment.
Extremely low thermal zero drift

Sensor and PCB are compensated separately to eliminate error caused by temperature differential between sensor and PCB.  Sensor thermal drift <0.005% FS  PCB thermal drift <0.015% FS/degrees Celsius.

Very low span thermal drift

<0.01% degrees Celsius.

Each unit is hydro-tested to 1.5X max pressure.
Total Global Error (linearity, hysteresis, repeatability) is <0.1% FS
Pressure and temperature sensors are at the send of the probe for maximum sensitivity
Probe end is made for Hastelloy C-276 for maximum corrosion resistance.
Probe body is manufactured from Inconel 718
Probe is Electron Beam welded in place for maximum weld penetration with low heat
Electrical penetrator is rated for 25,000 PSI
Electronics are easily accessible
Large variety of materials are available
Very adaptable to electrical umbilical configurations
